We offer Same-Day Appointments for all uninsured individuals.
Clinic hours of operation:
Lexington-Fayette County Health Department, 650 Newtown Pike, Dr. Rice C. Leach Community Room
No one is turned away for inability to pay.
Flu & COVID-19 vaccinations are available by same-day appointment Monday – Thursday
Immunizations
*Vaccine availability can vary. Please call for an appointment to verify eligibility and vaccine availability.
Vaccines For Children: Children (18 years of age and younger)
Vaccines provided through the VFC program include: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hemophilus Influenza Type B, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Pneumococcal Conjugate, Influenza (seasonal), Rotavirus, Meningococcal, Covid-19 (Moderna) RSV (seasonal) and Human Papillomavirus vaccines.
Eligibility
This includes children:
- Who do not have health insurance
- Are on a Kentucky Medicaid Program
- Who have health insurance that does not cover vaccines or
- Who are American Indian or Alaskan Native
Cost:
There is a $19 administration fee for each shot, but no one will be turned away if they are unable to pay.
Vaccines for Adults: Adults (19 and older)
Vaccines available*: Hepatitis A; Hepatitis B; Human Papilloma Virus (HPV); Influenza (seasonal); MMR (measles, mumps, rubella); Meningococcal (MCV4); Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis); RSV; Varicella; MPox and Covid-19 (Moderna).
Eligibility
This includes adults:
- Uninsured: no health insurance.
- Underinsured: A person who has health insurance, but the insurance does not cover any vaccines; a person whose insurance covers only selected vaccines; a person whose
- insurance does not provide first-dollar coverage for vaccines.

Harm Reduction Program
Hours: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays, 3 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays

Our free Harm Reduction Program offers:
ANONYMOUS/CONFIDENTIAL
- Syringe exchange
- Safer sex supplies
- FREE naloxone (Narcan) distribution and training
- FREE rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing
- Testing is free and confidential. For additional information on HIV testing, call (859) 899-4230.
- Treatment referrals for HIV, hepatitis C, and Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
- Information about services for food, housing, and healthcare
We can also host community classes, either on site or another location, for up to 100 people at a time! If you’re interested in scheduling this, please call 859-899-4230.

Sexually transmitted infections (STI)
Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) staff provides confidential testing and treatment.
Testing is available
For common sexually transmitted infections, including:
- Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis C, HIV, Syphilis and Herpes (swab test only with sore)
- Expanded testing for Bacterial Vaginosis and Yeast Infections are available with APRN appointment.
Our limited panel does NOT include urinary tract infection (UTI). If you are experiencing something other than our limited service, we apologize and encourage you to see your medical provider.

• Safer sex counseling

TUBERCULOSIS
TB testing is available for Fayette County residents by appointment only at the Public Health Clinic, 650 Newtown Pike. TB tests have a fee, and Medicaid, cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
